Hopscotch Mat

Another idea I found online was this hopscotch mat. I made one for my kids and one for my niece and nephews. I hot glued felt onto a piece of canvas to make the hopscotch part. On the back, I made a tic-tac-toe board and a target with little bean bags. Somewhat time consuming, but very cute and fun for the winter months when we are stuck inside!

Necklace holder

I found some great ideas for a necklace holder online, but didn't want to spend any money on making one. I had some wood in the garage that I cut into the length I wanted. I sanded down the edges and painted it the same color as the master bedroom. I added little hooks on the bottom to hold the necklaces and used some alphabet stickers on the front. Not too bad for an amateur! It holds all of my necklaces and looks cute, too!

Hairbows

I have been wanting to get some more hairbows made, and just didn't get around to it...until yesterday. I got 6 bows made in about an hour. They turned out way cute and my daughter was so excited to wear them yesterday!
The two bows on the left are curly ribbon bows made by wrapping the ribbon around a dowel rod and baking them in the oven for 20 mins. The other 4 bows are made by using a piece of cardboard and sewing down the middle of the ribbon.
Very cute bows make a little girl happy!

Cupcake socks

For Christmas, I thought it would be fun to make some gifts. I found this idea online and tried it out. They turned out way cute and the recipients loved them! Very easy to make with a pair of fuzzy socks rolled up and covered with a piece of scrapbooking paper. The 'cherry' is made with a tube of Carmex chapstick stuck down the center of the socks.

I wanted to start a place to document all of the fun things that I do to keep me busy. I love crafting and wish I had more time to work on my projects! (Don't we all!) So, enjoy my craftiness!
